CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

ARC Christian Education

As in the days of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the people of the American Reformed Church pray that the Lord might grip the hearts of its young people; that generation after generation might grow to follow his first commandment to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves.

American Reformed Church has Sunday School programs, Wednesday night programs, and Jr. and Sr. High youth groups to promote this vision.

Curriculum is foundationally sound following the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible. Children start Sunday School at the age of three and continue on until they are seniors in high school.

ARC also has an adult Sunday School class in which Biblical study and dialogue spur on personal growth in the Christian faith.

For more information please contact Christian Education Chairman, Todd Visscher at 712-441-5663.

Quilting Group

ARC hosts a community quilting group every other Monday from 1:00-4:00 pm. The quilts they make are given to families and individuals in need as well as other community organizations such as Hope Haven, Inspiration Hills, and others. Love is stitched into every blanket to serve others in the name of Jesus.

Faith Circle Women's Group

Faith Circle is a women's Bible study group that meets monthly, 2PM, usually on Tuesdays.

We are always open to new members and enjoy one another's company, mutual support, prayers, shared knowledge and study time.

Faith Circle also is devoted to missions and selects 2-3 projects or missions which we support with a donation at Christmas time.

ARK (1st-3rd Grade)

ARK is a Wednesday night program held from 7:00-8:00 for first, second and third graders. ARK stands for American Reformed Kids.

The children learn by participating in worship and a unique lesson format. The children see and hear a story told with props. During a response time, the children can choose to make a craft that relates to the story and/or retell stories they have heard using the story props.

After response time, the children move back to the worship center to hear the lesson read from the Bible, share prayer requests, pray, and finally close the worship time by extinguishing the Christ candle and singing a special closing song.
